Hello Everyone! We apologize for the delay to starting our classes. Due to the fact that we are just starting out, we are still in the process of getting everything organized in order to ensure our classes are high quality and run smoothly. However, we will be having an informational meeting on December 5th from 6:30 to 7:30pm, where we’ll discuss official registration, class timings and logistics, and other important program details. We invite everyone who filled out our student interest form to attend the meeting so if you have not filled out the student interest form and you are interested, please do so promptly! Our first class will take place during the week of December 14-20. In this preliminary session, we’ll introduce students to the world of chess and sort them into classes and levels based on individual skill. We will not be holding classes during winter break. As always, feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience, and we’re excited to work with your daughter!

Welcome to FEMchess, a non-profit organization that aims to close the gender gap in chess by teaching inexperienced young girls how to play the sport and helping experienced girls improve their skills and ratings. We strive to provide a competitive and empowering environment for girls to play the sport. Our classes will be free, but we do have a suggested donation every quarter to help cover our maintenance costs. Our classes will also all be online over zoom and we will be using various platforms such as chess.com, chessplayground, lichess.org, and others to teach chess to our students. Stay tuned for more updates about classes and other information. We are excited to work with you all!
